After the loss of my brother, I struggled with my mental health. I fell into a deep depression with anxiety, grief, fatigue, and uncontrollable stress. There was a darkness over me that I couldn't get rid of myself. I needed help. I posted on our local Facebook group asking for help and someone recommended The Link. The Link is a free, walk-in clinic funded and organized by the Chris Bremer Foundation. And as it turned out, The Link was opening that same day! I was their first walk-in!

 

I researched them and discovered their story was similar to mine - a tragic loss of a son/brother to suicide. I felt an instant connection with them. I knew they could help me! I went to The Link walk-in clinic that night. I met with a licensed mental health therapist. She spent time with me and helped me voice what I was struggling with. Overall, she helped me immensely. She gave me immediate tools that I could implement. Then, the next morning her clinic called me and linked me with a therapist I could see immediately and regularly.
